New Project – the origin of blossom
the origin of blossom
The photographer Vanessa Leißring and the illustrator Casiegraphics have explored the theme of floral still life. In this very classical theme and traditional motif in art, they discovered hidden floral correspondences to female genitalia.
The two have woven these connotations into the classic still life. The series is in colors attributed to women, reminiscent of smooth advertising photographs without flaws.
The multifaceted sexual, mysterious structure of the flowers is reflected in their concrete imagery, the stylized Vulva illustrations on the Vases.
With the triptychon, both have created a cross-disciplinary collaboration. Casiegraphics represents black and white illustrations with recurring patterns and designs that find inspiration in nature.
Vanessa’s photographic work is minimal and colorful. The roots of her uncluttered style lie in pop culture.
